Setting Up An Environment For Success

What is the main reason most people fail in their internet marketing endeavors? Lack of FOCUS! You are probably sitting there shaking your head yes in agreement of if you are new and as excited as I was 4 short years ago when I cashed my 1st internet marketing check, Then again maybe not. The reason most internet marketers do not succeed is because they lose focus on the task at hand, which for all beginners should be creating fresh new content. Many get sidetracked by the enticement of surfing online or drawn into some internet guru's sales copy and end up purchasing a new product, then begin to jump off track implementing a new strategy that you emotionally feel is going to take you the next level. These so called gurus make a living off of your emotions and impulsive purchasing decisions. When it comes to marketing passion can be very helpful, but with that being said your routine should be logical. Stick to what has worked for you, and remember always that good content=traffic. Sorry folks the content will not create itself. If online marketing success is what you truly seek it does take hard work and FOCUS. The rewards are tremendous but FOCUS is mandatory.

Now let's discuss creating a FOCUS inspiring work environment. Unless you are a noise junkie like myself (I have my itunes blaring into my ears right now) a quiet workspace in your home office can be helpful. If there is a window in your office be sure to set your desk and chair up with your back to the window or far enough away from it as to looking out of it is not a distraction while working. I would suggest turning all ringers off on phones (unless you freelance and are taking business related calls) while working. Treat your marketing time as if you are working for an employer. Most employers do not allow for personal phone calls at work as to keep productivity steady. Organize your work area and supplies. Create an environment that promotes efficiency, there is nothing worst than having to look through stacks and stacks of material to find an article or keyword list that you finished earlier in the workday STAY ORGANIZED. Make sure your home office is just that your home office. Only keep business related materials in your office space no magazines, recreational books, PC games etc. can be focus killers, especially if you're fighting a bout with writers block. Make sure that your workspace no matter how big or small is a dedicated workspace meant for work only. OK now you should be set up. Time to get those creative juices flowing and get to work. I hope this helps.

See You At The Top
